Senior Project Engineer and Staff Engineer:

  • Experience with CMT, Geotechnical, AASHTO Concrete and Soils Labs Accreditation Compliance, TxDOT CMT JOBS, and Environmental Report.Salary is 75,000$ to 140,000/year +Benefits(Health and 401k)+ Commission, which will be 5% of the revenue you bring into the company. 

Qualifications:

  • Must be a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E) and/or 5 years of Geotechnical and/or CMT Experience
  •  Minimum of a BS degree in Geotechnical, Civil Engineering, and/or other related field
  •  Experience dealing with AASHTO (Concrete and Soils Labs Accreditation Compliance)
  • Experience with Construction Material testing(Concrete, Soils, Steel, Piers, Post Tensioning,...).
  •  Experience with TxDOT Construction Material Testing Jobs.
  • Understanding of soil mechanics and specialty construction testing.
  •  Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans.
  •  Good driving record and valid TX driver's license.
  • Must pass pre-employment and drug screening.
  • Clear and concise English communication skills both written and verbal.

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conducting geotechnical field investigations and producing a geotechnical report
  • Writing and Submitting Projects Proposals for bidding
  • Contacting, Interacting/following up with Customers on Submitted Proposals
  • Reviewing reports on field activities related to the construction material testing process
  • Supervising and/or Reviewing Reports on Sampling, testing, and inspecting soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement
  •  Using field testing equipment and documenting readings
  • Reading maps, following directions, and interpreting engineering and construction plans
  •  Interacting and communicating daily with contractors, technicians, and project manager
  • Supervising/Monitoring/Reviewing the Testing of soils, foundations, reinforced and post-tensioned concrete masonry, structural steel, and asphalt pavement
  • Supervising/Determining and/or performing appropriate laboratory tests including but not limited to Proctor, Atterberg Limits, Swells,...
  • Attending project meetings and assisting in project resolutions
  • Assisting with training, and oversight of Junior Project Managers and Field Technicians
  • Assist with managing project budgets, project set-ups, and invoicing

 

Working Hours:

  • Work is generally Mon-Fri between 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Employee would be primarily working from our Argyle, TX Office.

 Engineering Technician 

General Responsibilities:


Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g. soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel). Communicate with project manager, engineering technicians, client representative, contractor’s representative and others as applicable regarding the construction site, project requirements, and testing, observation, and inspection requirements and results. 

Transport material samples with associated identifying documentation to the laboratory for further testing and analysis. 

Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observation in the form of written and digital reports as work is performed for daily transmittal to the Project Manager. 

Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas. May assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites. Adhere to strict safety standards.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Under close supervision of higher level technicians or staff professionals, assist on tasks and perform basic testing and observations duties.
  • Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
  • Communicates information to Project Manager and discusses accuracy of data in preparation for submittal.
  • Submits documentation and communicates results as directed by the Project Manager
  • Will be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work assignments.
  • Maintains assigned equipment.
  • Follow safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects. Perform pre-task planning prior to executing work. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
  • Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.

Requirements:

  • College education or extensive College Level Courses, no high school.
  • 6 months experience required but could train the promising candidate.
  • Obtain ACI Field Testing Technician- Grade I certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Successful completion of related internal safety certifications.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.

Preferred Certification:

  • USDOT-HAZMAT Certification.
  • ACI Concrete Filed Testing Technician-Grade I
  • SB102 Field Specialist
  • ICC Soils Special Inspector
  • ICC Reinforced Concrete Inspector
  • ICC Structural Masonry 

Employment Type:
